‘Wild & New’ is the latest album by Westwork, a super group country rock quartet consisting of
Chris Stromquist (Slavic Soul Party) – drums,
Sean Moran (Hadestown) – lead guitar,
Scot Fitzsimmons (Sparklehorse) – Bass,
Joshua Douglas Camp (Chicha Libre) – Vocals, guitar & songwriting.
Brooklyn Honky Tonk at it’s finest. Recorded throughout the pandemic, this is a wide-ranging collection of songs about heartbreak, fast living, regret, unrequited love, etc...in other words, all the stuff you want in a country song!!
In addition to the core group of players, Westwork has enlisted an incredibly talented and eclectic group of guest musicians including violin and string arrangements by Maxim Moston (Antony & the Johnsons}, and Skye Steele (Mr. Saturday, Anthony Braxton)-Pedal Steel by Gerald Menke, Lead guitar and Pedal Steel by Charles Arthur (Piedmont Souprize), and guest vocalist Laura Ann Singh (Miramar).
